Short Bio:

Loreto Pescosolido received the MS degree in 2003 and the Ph. D. degree from University of Rome “La Sapienza” in 2008. He currently holds a postdoc position at the Computer Science Department of the same university. His research interests lie in the fields of cooperative communications, distributed algorithms and protocols for wireless sensor networks, underwater acoustic sensor networks, and cognitive radio networking. He has been special-session co-chair for the 5th International Conference on Cognitive Radio Oriented Wireless Networks and Communications (CROWNCOM 2010). He has worked in different projects funded by the european community: ROMANTIK, SURFACE, and FREEDOM, SENDORA, covering research topics related to wireless communications; WINSOC, GENESI (currently on-going) and CLAM (currently on-going) on wireless terrestrial and underwater acoustic sensor networks.
